피아니스트 Seiko Sumi (角 聖子, 세이코 수미)의 데뷔앨범 『Children’s Songs』

일본의 피아니시트 Seiko Sumi (角 聖子, 세이코 수미)가 유럽에서 다양한 경험을 한 후 일본으로 돌아와 1993년 발매한 앨범이다. 단 한번의 연주로 녹음되어 리얼리즘이 잘 드러나는 이 앨범에는 바흐(Bach)의 ‘인벤션(Invention)’과 퓨전재즈의 범주를 넘어서 클래식 아티스트로도 활약중인 칙코리아(Chick Corea)의 ‘Children’s songs’ 곡들이 수록되어있다. 아들들의 교육을 위해 쓰여진 바흐의 음악과 아이들의 세계를 표현한 칙코리아의 음악을 통해 시대와 국경을 넘어 조화롭게 어우러짐을 느낄 수 있을 것이다.
