샌프란시스코 출신 인디 팝밴드 The Telephone Numbers의 어쿠스틱하고 순수한 매력이 돋보이는 첫 정규 앨범, 『The Ballad Of Doug』

The Telephone Numbers는 미국 샌프란시스코 출신의 인디팝 밴드로, Thomas Rubenstein(vocals, guitars, percussion, casio), Charlie Ertola(bass), Morgan Stanley(vocals, casio), Andrew Hine(drums, percussion), Glenn Donaldson(guitars, synth, organ, percussion, vocals), Eli Groshelle(drums), K. Dylan Edrich(violin)으로 구성되어 있다. 

The Telephone Numbers는 classic power-pop과 8, 90년대 인디 음악에 영향을 받았고, 말랑말랑한 보컬과 사운드에 비해 비극적 사랑 노래를 주로 부르며,  "pure pop for sad people" 추구한다고 한다. 이 앨범은 2020년 1월부터 2021년 5월에 걸쳐 발매했던 DIY 싱글 3장에 이어 레코드 회사에서 발매되는 첫 앨범이자, 첫 정규앨범이다. 기타를 중심으로 한 어쿠스틱한 팝 사운드로 밴드의 순수한 매력을 들려준다.
